LOUD is the first grand finalist of VALORANT Champions 2022

Team LOUD turned out to be stronger than OpTic Gaming with a score of 2:0, thanks to which they became the first grand finalist of VALORANT Champions 2022. In turn, the North American team goes to the finals of the lower bracket, where they will meet the winner of the FunPlus Phoenix match - DRX.

The confrontation within the finals of the upper bracket started on the Bind map, which became the choice of the North American team. At the same time, both teams showed an equal start, finishing the first half with an equal score - 6:6. After the change of sides, the participants continued to keep the intrigue in check. And yet, the LOUD players succeeded in the finishing spurt, thanks to which the Brazilians took the lead in the series - 13:10.

Then the teams moved to the map Ascent, which became the choice of LOUD. This is where the most interesting thing began, since the Brazilian team immediately took control of the situation, closing the half in attack with a comfortable lead — 9:3. After the side switch, OpTic Gaming failed to return to the game, while LOUD quickly got the necessary rounds and confidently closed the series in their favor — 13:3.

VALORANT Champions 2022 takes place from August 31 to September 18 in Istanbul at the Volkswagen Arena. As part of the championship, sixteen teams from Europe, North and South America, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, China and Southeast Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
