Thorin, a well-known British CS:GO analyst, spoke about the future of VALORANT. According to him, the victory of the DRX team at VALORANT Champions 2022 would significantly push the development of the competitive scene.

If DRX completes its breakthrough and wins VALORANT Champions 2022, then this will be the best development for the game after being eliminated from the Paper Rex tournament. The more Koreans will try to become professionals in the game, the better for the high-level scene.

Currently, the South Korean team DRX is preparing to start the fight against FunPlus Phoenix. This meeting will take place today, September 16th. However, reaching the top 4 is the best achievement ever for a team that has so far placed 5th-6th in VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík and VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen.

Looking back at the DRX tournament path, the team finished the group stage without a single defeat. In the playoffs, the South Korean team first beat FunPlus Phoenix, but then lost to LOUD and fell into the lower bracket, where they managed to cope with Fnatic.

VALORANT Champions 2022 takes place from August 31 to September 18 in Istanbul at the Volkswagen Arena. As part of the championship, sixteen teams from Europe, North and South America, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, China and Southeast Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
