The DRX team turned out to be stronger than FURIA Esports with a score of 2:0 at the start of the group stage of VALORANT Champions 2022. Now the South Korean team will face the winner of the Fnatic match - 100 Thieves for the right to get into the playoffs of the competition. In turn, the FURIA Esports team is sent to the bottom of Group C.

The first match of the game day started on the Ascent map, which became the choice of the Brazilian team. At the same time, the players of FURIA Esports showed a confident start, as it seemed, having solved all the issues even before the change of sides — 9:3. However, in the second half, DRX managed to wake up and quickly catch up with the opponent, and then switch the game to overtime. Here the South Korean team managed to break the opponent and took the lead in the series — 16:14.

Next, the teams moved to the Haven map, which turned out to be the DRX's choice. Here, the struggle turned out to be much less, since the South Korean team immediately took the initiative into their own hands and did not leave the opponent a chance - 8:4. Well, after the switch of sides, FURIA Esports did not take a single round, thus allowing DRX to get their first victory in the championship — 13:4.
