XERXIA eliminated from VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen

Team XERXIA lost 1:2 to Northeption and was eliminated from VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen, earning $10,000 and 150 points. In turn, the Japanese team will meet with FunPlus Phoenix to compete for a place in the championship playoffs.

The second match of the game day started on the Split map, which became the choice of the Japanese team. However, the XERXIA players managed to immediately seize the initiative in order to first confidently close the half in defense, and then get the required number of rounds in attack. Northeption could not do anything with this, giving the team from Thailand too much freedom - 13:9.

Next, the teams moved to the Haven map, which became the choice of XERXIA. Here the Japanese team began to correct their situation, showing a phenomenal attack on the opponent's map. Well, after the change of sides, Northeption did not allow the "owners" to return to the game, thereby equalizing the score in this series - 13:8.

Everything was decided on the Bind map, where the teams failed to determine the winner in regular time. Well, in overtime, representatives of Northeption turned out to be stronger, knocking XERXIA out of the championship — 15:13.

Note that earlier in the playoffs of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen, the teams DRX and Guild Esports made it through, having won two victories in the group stage each.

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen takes place July 10-24 in Copenhagen in a mixed format. The first weeks of the championship will be held in a studio format, while the final three days will take place at the Forum venue. As part of the championship, twelve participants from Europe, the Americas, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia compete for a prize pool of $650,000, as well as ranking points needed to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2022.
