DRX secures first win at VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen

Team DRX secured their first victory at VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen. As part of the group stage of the championship, the South Korean team beat Northeption with a score of 2:0 and approached the playoffs.

The opening match of the entire championship began on the Ascent map, which became the choice of the Japanese team. However, DRX players immediately seized the initiative on the server, managing to get a two-fold advantage after half in the attack. Well, after the change of sides, the South Korean team managed to keep the lead, actually not letting the opponent in. As a result, DRX won a confident victory at the opponent's pick and took the lead in the series — 13:8.

Next, the teams moved to the Bind map, which became the DRX's choice. However, here the fans did not see any struggle, because after the defeat on the first map, the Japanese team finally swam. As a result, one won round in two halves cost the Northeption team a failure in their debut on the international arena - 13:1.

Now the South Korean team will face the winner of the FunPlus Phoenix - XERXIA match, which will take place tomorrow, July 11.

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen takes place July 10-24 in Copenhagen in a mixed format. The first weeks of the championship will be held in a studio format, while the final three days will take place at the Forum venue. As part of the championship, twelve participants from Europe, the Americas, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia battle it out for an unannounced prize pool, as well as the ranking points needed to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2022.
