Organization Virtus.Pro
Virtus.pro is a worldwide famous Russian esports organization which has rosters in different disciplines.
VP is presented by people from different countries, predominantly CIS and Western Europe.
In the Virtus.pro logo we can see a bear whose colors can be changed depending on the sponsor of the organization. For instance, the list of VP colors is limited by white, orange and black but after the partnership agreement with MegaFon was signed, the color scheme was changed to black, white, violet, and green. At the beginning of 2019, the representatives turned to their initial colors of the bear, but changed the shape of the logo a little.
The esports organization was created on 1 November 2003. Initially it was a Counter-Strike 1.6 team. Later Virtus.pro got other rosters. The team which represented VP in the DotA world appeared in November 2007. From autumn 2009 till April 2011, the activity of the DotA roster was ceased. In May 2012, the decision to sign VP representatives in the StarCraft II was reached. In January 2013, the World of Tanks division got open. Later World of Tanks and StarCraft II activities got invalidated with disbanding of the players of the mentioned disciplines.
2012
In 2012, the organization provided themselves with a Russian speaking CS:GO roster which managed to take the second place at StarLadder StarSeries Season 4. The most serious achievement for the team in 2012 was their victory at StarLadder StarSeries Season 5, where VP defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas who were in a great gaming shape at that moment.
2013
At the beginning of 2013, a female CS:GO roster was assembled. On 18 July 2013, the management of VP reported that the work of the male CS:GO roster ended up. In August the female squad was also disbanded.
2014
In 2014, Virtus.pro signed a roster which got successful and legendary in the esports club history. On 25 January, five Polish players who had performed for AGAiN joined the team. Two months later Virtus.pro became the champions of ESL One Katowice 2014 which resulted in the main reward of $100,000 for the team.
The organization got especially successful when in 2015 Alisher Usmanov together with United Television Holding Russia decided to invest $100,000,000 in Virtus.pro.
2015
In 2015, Heroes of the Storm was released and it started to develop as an esports discipline. VP observed the game and some time later they signed a roster which was pretty prosperous and managed to gain several serious victories. A year later VP decided to close their HotS subdivision and focus their attention on other more successful MOBA discipline, Dota 2.
2016
On 4 August 2016, VP signed a Dota 2 roster with the hard core of the group Aleksey ‘Solo’ Berezin, Roman ‘RAMZES666’ Kushnarev, Vladimir ‘No[o]ne’ Minenko, and Pavel ‘9pasha’ Khvastunov who played in the team even later. In 2018, Illya ‘Lil’ Illyuk was excluded from the roster due to his irresponsible attitude to the roster and his place was taken by Vladimir RodjER’ Nikogosyan. Later in September Arseniy ‘ArsZeeqq’ Usov joined Virtus.pro as a coach. Some time later at The Chongqing Major 2019, he managed to show himself when Solo was absent at the event and the coach played for the team, performing his role perfectly. The team won over their strong opponents even with a substitute. The Dota 2 roster of Virtus.pro is one of the strongest in the world, however something always goes wrong at The International for the players, while the situation at Major tournaments is completely opposite.
2017
In 2017, Paladins reached a new level and in the end WESA together with Hi-Rez Studios announced Paladins Premier League. Virtus.pro decided to have their own Paladins roster for participating in the league. In the same year VP signed two Quake Champions players who were supposed to play for one year. Before the contract with the esportsmen got terminated, Virtus.pro decided to close the Quake Champions subdivision and the agreements with the players got rescinded earlier than expected.
2018
In July 2018, the Russian organization created a Fortnite subdivision. At first they signed two players and later they decided that the organization needed two more representatives of this discipline and as a result they signed contracts with two more esportsmen.
