Closing out today's game day is a matchup between the top two teams in the current standings - Karmine Corp versus GIANTX. Prior to the match, Karmine Corp held a 7-2 record, while GIANTX stood at 6-3. Both teams have already secured their playoff spots, but the ability to choose an opponent for the next stage is a significant advantage, ensuring that both sides are motivated to win.

Game 1 Picks:

  • Karmine Corp: Sion, Jarvan IV, Air, Jhin, Bard
  • GIANTX: Gnar, Pantheon, Taliyah, Corki, Rakan

An active start from Karmine Corp in the bottom lane provided them with an early advantage, opening the path to the dragon while the KC jungler consistently pressured the GIANTX mid laner. This level of pressure significantly restricted the rotations of GIANTX, preventing them from safely staying in lane to farm.

At the 14th minute, a fight occurred near the dragon that looked quite unusual, particularly when ISMA, playing Pantheon, attempted to enter Bard's portal but became stuck in the terrain. This assisted Karmine Corp in eliminating two champions and securing their second dragon, increasing their lead to 2,000 gold.

By the 23rd minute, a fight broke out at Baron, which Karmine Corp won by forcing GIANTX away with only a single kill. Following this, several champions managed to return to base to restore resources before securing their third dragon without any resistance. Excellent zoning and an understanding of the enemy team's map movements allowed them to claim almost all objectives with minimal fighting or losses.

The final fight took place in the mid lane, where KC claimed a convincing victory to reach an 8-2 record, firmly strengthening their hold on first place in the standings. GIANTX currently drops to third place with a 6-4 record.

This year, the LEC Versus 2026 does not provide a cash prize for winning the tournament. Instead, teams are competing for the opportunity to qualify for the international tournament, First Stand 2026. The Regular Season will be held in a Bo1 format where every team faces each other. In total, teams will play 11 matches each, and those with the best results will advance to the playoffs.
