The penultimate match of the day featured Movistar KOI against Team Vitality. Both teams entered this matchup with identical 5-4 records. The winner of this game would guarantee themselves a spot in the playoffs, while the losing side would still have one final opportunity tomorrow. Let us move on to the match details.

Game 1 Picks:

  • Movistar KOI: Poppy, Jayce, Ryze, Corki, Bard
  • Team Vitality: KSante, Pantheon, Zoi, Yunara, Neeko

The match began with aggressive rotations from Team Vitality, specifically a gank in the bottom lane that allowed them to secure three kills - two went to Pantheon and the third to Yunara. By the 3rd minute, this provided Team Vitality with a lead of over 1,000 gold. By the 12th minute, while Vitality had not significantly increased their gold advantage, they had secured 7 kills while conceding only 2, and held one dragon.

By the 23rd minute, Team Vitality extended their lead to a 12-3 kill score and a 3.6 thousand gold advantage. Most importantly, they had three dragons, while MKOI had none. The battle for the fourth dragon was prolonged and featured almost no casualties. Eventually, MKOI managed to secure the dragon, preventing Team Vitality from claiming the Dragon Soul. While this did not significantly shift the gold charts, it was a necessary gain for MKOI.

Another intense teamfight occurred over the Dragon Soul, resulting in eight champion deaths - four from each side. Despite the losses, Team Vitality managed to secure the soul and trade 4-for-4 while at a numerical disadvantage. Had MKOI not picked off Vitality's top laner before the fight, they likely would have lost the engagement decisively. As it stood, it was an even trade that maintained a 5,000 gold lead for Team Vitality.

The final fight took place in the mid lane, triggered by a minor error from MKOI who miscalculated the minion wave, allowing Neeko to infiltrate their ranks and land a massive ultimate. Following this, Team Vitality easily eliminated the entire MKOI roster and finished the game.

This victory earns Team Vitality their 6th win of the regular season and a guaranteed playoff spot. MKOI moves to a 5-5 record and must still fight for their place in the tournament.

This year, the LEC Versus 2026 does not provide a cash prize for winning the tournament. Instead, teams are competing for the opportunity to qualify for the international tournament, First Stand 2026. The Regular Season will be held in a Bo1 format where every team faces each other. In total, teams will play 11 matches each, and those with the best results will advance to the playoffs.
