KT Rolster Secure a Clean Victory Over CTBC Flying Oysters and Advance to the Worlds 2025 Semifinals
Day 2 of the Knockout Stage opened with a matchup between KT Rolster and CTBC Flying Oysters. As representatives of the LCK region, KT Rolster entered as the clear favorites. However, given how strong CFO looked during the Swiss Stage, many expected a close series. In the end, though, KT Rolster proved far too strong in this matchup.
Game 1 Picks:
- KT Rolster: Rumble, Wukong, Taliyah, Ezreal, Braum
- CTBC Flying Oysters: Ornn, Xin Zhao, Aurora, Corki, Nami
Game 2 Picks:
- KT Rolster: Renekton, Jarvan IV, Orianna, Sivir, Nautilus
- CTBC Flying Oysters: K`Sante, Trundle, Azir, Kai`Sa, Rakan
Game 3 Picks:
- KT Rolster: Sion, Viego, Zoi, Ziggs, Alistar
- CTBC Flying Oysters: Rek`Sai, Skarner, Hwei, Caitlyn, Bard
KT Rolster completely dominated all three games, outclassing CTBC Flying Oyster in both macro and micro play. Their objective control was excellent, and their map movements were nearly flawless. Special mention goes to Bdd, the mid laner of KT Rolster, who delivered an outstanding performance — posting incredible stats in every single game. His contribution to KT’s victory cannot be overstated.
That’s not to say CTBC Flying Oyster played poorly. While the team made some mistakes, their main issue was that KT simply didn’t allow them to play their fast, aggressive style. Because of this, CFO looked rather restrained and lacked their usual creativity.
In the end, KT Rolster secured a clean 3-0 sweep, earning their place in the Worlds 2025 semifinals. They’ll now face Gen.G in the next round. As for CFO, their Worlds 2025 journey ends here — but they can be proud of a strong season, finishing 5th–8th overall. Hopefully, we’ll see an even stronger CFO next year.
Reminder: The Worlds 2025 Knockout Stage runs from October 28 to November 2, with the Grand Final taking place on November 9. All matches are played in a Best-of-Five format using the Fearless Draft system. The bracket follows a Single Elimination format — meaning teams that lose are immediately eliminated from the tournament.
