An incredible performance from KT Rolster throughout the tournament — they came so close to victory. Their biggest challenge in the final turned out to be their limited champion pool and, of course, the ever-unforgiving Fearless Draft format.
T1 took the first map, and it’s worth highlighting Doran, whose Ambessa pick made a huge impact both in lane and in teamfights. Still, Oner and Faker stole the spotlight with their flawless coordination, constantly disrupting KT Rolster’s plans.
After dropping the first game, KT Rolster regrouped and came back strong, taking two consecutive maps. BDD, Cuzz, and PerfecT played brilliantly — controlling objectives and suffocating T1’s movements across the map. Their comp had immense damage, allowing them to dominate the tempo. And on Game 3, Dr. Mundo was practically unkillable — T1 gave him too much freedom.
Down 1-2, T1 decided to pull off a draft no one could have predicted — and it worked to perfection.
The fifth and final map exposed KT Rolster’s biggest weakness. Their limited champion flexibility allowed T1 to completely outdraft them. With a strong frontline and multiple tools to shut down BDD’s Smolder, T1 denied him any scaling potential. KT’s top lane also suffered heavily — Yorick was constantly pressured and never got the chance to impact the game.
A sixth Worlds trophy for Faker and T1 — three consecutive titles and another legendary run for the team. Gumayusi was named the Worlds 2025 MVP, sealing an unforgettable finish to an incredible season!
