Vladi granted permission to seek new team as Karmine Corp weighs roster changes
Vladimir “Vladi” Kourtidis could soon be parting ways with Karmine Corp. As reported by Sheep Esports, the team has begun evaluating options for a new mid laner, reportedly turning its attention toward several South Korean candidates.
The 20-year-old mid laner has been granted permission to explore opportunities elsewhere. Sources indicate that several LEC teams have already shown interest and inquired about a possible buyout. Since Vladi remains under contract with Karmine Corp until the end of 2027, any move would require negotiations over the buyout fee. Still, signs suggest that the Greek player could find a new team in the near future.
Tensions between Vladi and the organization
One of the most talked-about storylines of the season has been the growing tension between Vladi and Karmine Corp. Following the Spring Split, the mid laner faced heavy criticism after saying on Twitch that “the majority of this organization’s fanbase is by far the worst I’ve seen.” Although he later apologized, the incident significantly strained his relationship with both the fans and the team.
According to multiple sources, the situation between Vladi and the organization’s management has continued to deteriorate over time.
Vladi joined Karmine Corp in January 2024, starting with the academy roster in the LFL before being promoted to the LEC team in May. Despite the ups and downs, he played a key role in securing Karmine Corp’s first-ever LEC trophy and remains an important part of the team’s history.
