Today marked the final showdown that concluded the LEC Summer 2025 regional championship. The clash featured G2 Esports, who had finished second in both previous splits, and MKOI, who came into the match looking to defend their title.

Game 1 Picks:

  • G2 Esports: Kled, Wukong, Cassiopeia, Xayah, Rakan
  • MKOI: Sion, Maokai, Ryze, Yunara, Nautilus

Game 2 Picks:

  • G2 Esports: Rek`Sai, Jarval IV, Galio, Sivir, Alistar
  • MKOI: K`Sante, Xin Zhao, Orianna, Zeri, Rell

Game 3 Picks:

  • G2 Esports: Sett, Volibear, Taliyah, Caitlyn, Karma
  • MKOI: Yorik, Skarner, Azir, Kai`Sa, Neeko

Despite expectations of a hard-fought series between two top-tier teams, the match turned out to be surprisingly one-sided in favor of G2 Esports. All three games looked more like a showcase of G2’s dominance, while MKOI were unable to respond to the relentless pressure.

G2 were always several steps ahead — controlling the map, securing objectives, and dictating the pace from start to finish. It all led to a well-deserved and long-awaited victory.

This victory earns G2 Esports the title of LEC Summer 2025 Champions and a prize of €40,000 EUR. The team has already qualified for Worlds 2025, which kicks off soon on October 10, where they’ll face the best teams from around the world.

MKOI finish in second place, securing €25,000 EUR. They too will compete at Worlds 2025, meaning the season is far from over for both teams — the most challenging and anticipated stage of any pro player’s career still lies ahead.
