LEC Summer 2025: MKOI Defeat Fnatic 3–1 and Advance to the Grand Final!

Today’s match was a high-stakes showdown between Fnatic and MKOI. For MKOI, it was a chance to reach the final and go for a back-to-back title by taking down G2 once again. For Fnatic, it was an opportunity to finally break their long-running curse of finishing 3rd or 4th.

Game 1 Picks:

  • MKOI: Ambessa, Pantheon, Taliyah, Tristana, Alistar
  • Fnatic: RekSai, Vi, Galio, Kai`Sa, Gragas

Game 2 Picks:

  • MKOI: Rumble, Wukong, Yone, Corki, Rell
  • Fnatic: Ornn, Nocturne, Orianna, Xayah, Rakan

Game 3 Picks:

  • MKOI: K`Sante, Jarvan IV, Ziggs, Zeri, Nautilus
  • Fnatic: Yorik, Xin Zhao, Victor, Lucian, Braum

Game 4 Picks:

  • MKOI: Sion, Naafiri, Ryze, Ezreal, Maokai
  • Fnatic: Trundle, Poppy, Hwei, Varus, Leona

MKOI delivered a confident performance — both individually and as a team. Fnatic tried to fight back, but their efforts fell short. On their winning maps, MKOI showed incredible map control and objective focus. Every kill translated into a tower or neutral objective, giving them full control of the game’s tempo.

The only real tension came in Game 4, where Fnatic had a promising start. However, their Trundle was severely underleveled, underfarmed, and lacked both kills and items — one of the key reasons for their loss in that game. In the end, it was a convincing 3–1 victory for MKOI.

With this win, MKOI advance to the LEC Summer 2025 Grand Final, where they’ll face off against G2 Esports. As for Fnatic, their journey in the tournament ends with a third-place finish — but they’ve still secured a ticket to the biggest event of the year, Worlds 2025, which is already a major achievement.
