LEC Summer 2025: Team Vitality Eliminate Team Heretics from the Tournament
Lower Bracket Round 1 kicked off with a major success for Team Vitality. After yet another roster change before the split, many had already written them off. But following their performance in the group stage — and especially after today’s match against Team Heretics — there should be far fewer doubts about this team.
Game 1 Picks:
- Team Heretics: Sion, Nocturne, Oriana, Aphelios, Thresh
- Team Vitality: Rumble, Xin Zhao, Galio, Xayah, Rakan
Game 2 Picks:
- Team Heretics: K`Sante, Brand, Jayce, Corki, Rell
- Team Vitality: Ambessa, Vi, Ryze, Kai`Sa, Alistar
Game 3 Picks:
- Team Heretics: Yorik, Wukong, Azir, Sivir, Braum
- Team Vitality: Aatrox, Pantheon, Taliyah, Jinx, Neeko
Game 4 Picks:
- Team Heretics: Jax, Jarvan IV, Tristana, Ziggs, Leona
- Team Vitality: Dr.Mundo, Sejuani, Hwei, Varus, Pyke
Team Vitality looked confident across all four maps, playing aggressively and setting the pace against Team Heretics. In fact, they could have closed the series 3–0 if they hadn’t overextended near the enemy base in Game 1, which led to a crucial pickoff and a missed opportunity.
After that painful loss in the first game, I expected Team Vitality to slow down or play more cautiously — but that wasn’t the case at all. They stuck to their aggressive style and kept up the pressure, which ultimately led to a convincing 3–1 victory and a spot in the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals.
The LEC Summer 2025 Playoffs run from September 5 to September 28 and represent a key stage for all teams in the European region. This is where the league’s strongest lineup will be determined, and where World Championship slots are up for grabs. The prize pool stands at €80,000 EUR, but more importantly, the top three teams will qualify for the World Championship 2025 — the biggest event of the year. With so much on the line, every team is giving it their all. Be sure to bookmark the LoL News page to stay updated on all things League of Legends esports.
