Natus Vincere Officially Joins the LEC
Today, Natus Vincere officially announced across all social media platforms that they are entering League of Legends and will be competing in the LEC — the top European league.
NAVI has acquired Rogue ’s LEC slot, which the latter had been trying to sell for several years but were unable to finalize a deal due to various reasons.
So far, there’s limited information about NAVI’s League of Legends roster, but a few players have reportedly agreed to join the team. According to Sheep Esports, Emil "Larssen" Larsson has reached an agreement with NAVI and will serve as the team’s starting mid laner in the LEC, retaining his position following the transfer of Rogue’s League of Legends infrastructure to NAVI.
Larssen is now the second confirmed member of NAVI’s roster — last week, it was reported that the organization had also signed top laner Adam “Adam” Maanane. Since NAVI gained access to Rogue’s competitive division, retaining a veteran player who has spent his entire LEC career with one team seems like a logical move.
While it may appear that NAVI is simply inheriting Rogue’s roster, Sheep Esports sources emphasize that the organization is actively exploring other options for the bot lane. However, finalizing those deals takes more time than assuming the existing contracts that came with the LEC slot.
That said, it wouldn’t be surprising if NAVI ends up signing either all five Rogue players or four of them plus one new addition. So let’s wait for the official roster announcement and keep an eye on the updates.
