League of Legends Patch 25.14 Preview: Yunara, New Mini-Games, and Key Balance Updates
Patch 25.14 for League of Legends launches on July 16, 2025, and is definitely one of the most anticipated updates this year. The main highlight is the new champion Yunara, finally arriving on the Rift at 19:00 UTC after a long wait filled with rumors and leaks.
New Mini-GamesWe’re getting two connected mini-games that will reveal more of Yunara and Xin Zhao’s lore. Battle for Koesin is a 2D beat 'em up with a full campaign. After completing it, Koesin's Court will unlock, where we can build bonds with spirits by offering petals earned through repeatable missions.
Champion and Item Changes Besides new content, Patch 25.14 brings important balance changes. Overpowered and sometimes frustrating champions like Yuumi and Riven will be nerfed, while weaker champions will get buffs. Kled is getting a major rework to make his fighter style more stable and interesting. You can read more details in the League of Legends Patch 25.14 Overview blog, where we covered the most important points of the update.
Items are also being adjusted: Blade of the Ruined King, Kraken Slayer, Phantom Dancer, and Rod of Ages are all being buffed to give us more build options and strategic flexibility.
Other Updates The patch also includes many Arena changes, bug fixes, and important technical improvements—like the move from OpenGL to Metal on macOS and updates to DirectX.
Overall, Patch 25.14 will treat us to new content, better balance, and technical updates, making League of Legends even more stable and enjoyable for all of us.
