G2 Esports secured a confident victory over Fnatic in the second round of the upper bracket at LEC Winter 2025. The match was played in a BO3 format, and G2 left no chance for their opponent, closing the series with a 2:0 score. With this victory, the team advances further in the tournament bracket and moves on to the semifinals, where they will face the winner of the KOI vs Karmine Corp matchup.

Fnatic, in turn, will continue their fight for the championship title, but now in the lower bracket of the playoffs. Every loss will bring the team closer to elimination, meaning they no longer have any room for error. The next two rounds of the lower bracket will also be played in a BO3 format, but after that, teams will face a long road through BO5 series, where winning three maps will be required for victory.

G2 continue to showcase excellent form in the winter split, justifying their status as one of the tournament's main favorites. Last year, they proved they were the number one team in their region, winning everything possible in their league. Fnatic, on the other hand, now have to prove their strength under increased pressure, fighting for the right to stay in LEC Winter 2025, where every mistake could lead to elimination from the tournament.
