Ruler returns to Gen.G: the new roster is fully complete

One of the strongest carry players in LoL, Ruler, is returning to Gen.G. Pak "Ruler" Jae-hyeok left the team on November 10, 2022, after five years of collaboration. In December 2022, he signed with the Chinese organization JD Gaming, competing in the LPL. In his debut season with JDG in 2023, Ruler won the LPL Spring and Summer titles and became the winner of the Mid-Season Invitational.

Ruler's Titles with Gen.G

While playing for Gen.G in 2022-2023, Ruler managed to secure the following titles:

  • LCK Summer 2022 Champion: In August 2022, Gen.G won the LCK Summer Split, defeating T1 3-0 in the final.
  • LCK Summer 2022 MVP: For his outstanding performance in the Summer Split of 2022, Ruler was named the most valuable player of the tournament.
  • LCK Spring 2023 Champion: In April 2023, Gen.G won the LCK Spring Split, defeating T1 3-1 in the final.
  • LCK Spring 2023 MVP: Ruler was recognized as the most valuable player of the LCK Spring Split 2023.

Additionally, Joo " Duro " Min-gyu, playing as a support, will join Gen.G. Duro previously played for Hanwha Life Challengers, where he proved himself to be a stable player with a good understanding of the game. As for other positions in the team, it has been confirmed that Chovy, the mid-laner, has renewed his contract and will remain with the team, and Canyon, the jungle player, has also extended his contract with the organization, top lane player Kiin has also re-signed with the organization and will compete in the new season.

For seven consecutive years, Gen.G Esports has participated in the World Championship, but unfortunately, they have never reached the final during these seven years, falling just short of the top.
