On November 19, 2024, Gen.G Esports officially announced the departure of their entire League of Legends roster, including all players and coaching staff. This decision came as a surprise to many, given the team's successful performance in 2024.

Achievements in 2024:

  • LCK Spring Split 2024 Champions: In April, Gen.G defeated T1 3-2 in the finals, securing their qualification for the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024.
  • MSI 2024 Champions: In May, the team claimed their first international title, defeating Bilibili Gaming 3-1 in the grand finals.
  • LCK Summer Split 2024 Champions: In August, Gen.G once again triumphed over T1, becoming the champions of the LCK Summer Split.

Thus, in 2024, Gen.G achieved significant success, winning two LCK titles and claiming victory at MSI. However, despite these accomplishments, the organization decided to rebuild their roster, parting ways with all players and coaches. The future lineup of Gen.G remains unknown at this time.
