Four teams have already taken the bottom places in the championship, with 100Thieves and Rainbow7 being eliminated after yesterday’s matches. Worlds 2024 Mid-Tournament Results
As we know, 20 teams are participating in the tournament, but only 16 contenders remain in the race for the championship. Vikings Esports and Fukuoka HAWKS gaming were the first to drop out, securing 19th-20th places and earning $22,250. In yesterday’s matches, PSG Talon and paiN Gaming defeated 100Thieves and Rainbow7, respectively, with the latter teams finishing in 17th-18th places, earning $38,937.50 each. The matches were played in a best-of-3 format, with PSG Talon sweeping 100Thieves 2-0, while paiN Gaming and Rainbow7 battled it out, with paiN Gaming emerging victorious 2-1. The Play-In stage has now concluded, and the Swiss Stage will begin on October 3, so fans will have to wait a little longer for the most exciting part of the tournament.
