In preparation for the League of Legends Worlds 2023 tournament, Riot Games has rolled out patch 13.19, set to be the official patch for the event. This update comes with balance changes targeted at several champions that have played a significant role in the professional scene this summer.
One such champion getting tweaks is Azir, a prominent figure in the professional meta. Riot Games has decided to increase the cooldown of his ability, A, in an effort to make Azir more susceptible during the laning phase. This adjustment aims to maintain Azir's late-game dominance while still presenting a challenge to opponents in the early game.
Braum is another champion in the spotlight for adjustments, as players have been discovering her potential with proper kit utilization and itemization. These changes involve reducing her healing capacity from jungle monsters, offering opponents more opportunities to counter her healing. Moreover, quality-of-life enhancements and bug fixes have been introduced to provide a clearer and more enjoyable experience when playing as or against Braum.
Galio, an unconventional pick in the mid-lane, has received improvements to bolster his overall performance. Riot Games has decreased the cooldown of his ultimate ability, Heroic Entrance, empowering players to make impactful plays across the map more frequently.
Gangplank, who has struggled in the top lane, is the focus of targeted adjustments. Alterations to his ultimate ability, Cannon Barrage, aim to amplify its effectiveness, particularly in covering multiple areas of the map simultaneously.
Lastly, Jhin's ultimate ability, Curtain Call, has seen changes with an increase in its minimum physical damage. This tweak enhances Jhin's impact in team fights, making him a more formidable force in competitive play.
