İstanbul Wildcats qualified for World Championship 2022
/TCL Summer 2022 has come to an end. As part of the championship, which was held from June 11 to September 10 in Izmir at the Izmir Kültürpark Open Air Theatre, ten Turkish teams fought for one direct ticket to the World Championship 2022. The winner of the tournament was the İstanbul Wildcats team, which outplayed Fenerbahçe Esports 3-2 in the grand final, earning the right to play in the main event of the season.
The championship for the future winner began with an excellent performance in the group stage, during which the Turkish team won 14 victories and suffered 4 defeats. According to the results of the regular part of the competition, İstanbul Wildcats passed the 1/4 finals and made it straight to the semi-finals.
Here, the team first confidently defeated SuperMassive Blaze (3:0), and then coped with Fenerbahçe Esports (3:2), thus becoming the winner of TCL Summer 2022.
HolyPhoenix (İstanbul Wildcats) became the best player of the championship. Viser1on (NASR eSports) was recognized as the most valuable coach of the season. The 2022 World Championship will take place from September 29 to November 5 in Mexico and the United States. The Play-In stage will take place from September 29 to October 4 at the Arena Esports Stadium in Mexico City, and the group stage will take place from October 7-10 and October 13-16 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. As part of the championship, 24 teams from all over the world (excluding the CIS) will compete for a total prize pool of $2,225,000.
