LLA Closing 2022 starts today

Add as a Preferred Source

Today, June 11, the main event of the professional League of Legends scene in Latin America,LLA Closing 2022, starts.

With the arrival of summer, the Continental League season around the world has also arrived. Each of the competitive regions is about to start its own League of Legends Summer Split 2022 tournaments. Following the Chinese LPL, this year's LLA Closing has begun.

What to expect from the final LLA?

Let's start, according to the canon, with the most interesting and delicious - prizes. The total prize pool of $53,500 USD will be split among the top four teams in this split. Obviously, most of the amount will go to the winner, as well as the opportunity to go to the Worlds 2022 World Cup.

  • 1st place - $30,000 and access to Worlds 2022
  • 2nd place - $15,000
  • 3rd place - $5,000
  • 4th place - $3,500

Nothing much has changed since the spring split, except for the new Rainbow7 logo. All the same 8 teams will fight among themselves for money and the main prize.

Tournament Rules and Procedure

According to the rules of Riot Games Continental League tournaments, everything will start from the group stage. It will take place in one integral stage, unlike the largest regions, where there are breaks. Since there are fewer teams than in other splits, everything is simplified by the time of the group stage, only 7 in-game weeks. There will be no order in terms of the number of matches, that is, 5 matches can be played in one week, and all 10 in another. Absolutely all meetings will be in the format of the well-known LEC, that is, Bo1, not Bo3, as in Asia.

According to the results of the group stage, the top 6 teams by points will go to the playoffs, and only two outsiders will be eliminated. 5th - 6th places will go to the lower (losers) bracket of the "last" chance, while 1st - 4th places of the group stage will start with the quarterfinals and the opportunity to return after one defeat, falling into the lower bracket. All playoffs, including the start of the "losers" bracket and the quarter-finals will be fully bo5 format.

Participant of LLA Closing 2022

As I noted earlier, we are waiting for all the same teams as this spring:
