Not so long ago, the organizers of LPL Spring 2020 decided to postpone the matches of Chinese competitions for an indefinite time. An outbreak of coronavirus and a desire not to do mass events in order not to contribute to the spread of the disease were named as the main reason. After a short time, it became known that the LoL Pro League Spring 2020 teams continued their participation in the league.

LPL Spring 2020 started on January 13th and will end in April. 17 teams take part in the league, who share a common prize pool of ~ $ 520,870 each other. The winner, in addition to the main cash prize of $ 215,760, will receive a special reward in the form of an invitation to the Mid-Season Invitational 2020. Last year, the prize pool of this competition amounted to $ 1,000,000.
