LCS Proving Grounds Summer 2021: Academic Squads of Team Liquid and 100 Thieves will battle to reach the grand final

On the night of September 16-17, two semifinal matches in the upper bracket ended. In the first of them, Team Liquid Academy and Dignitas Academy fought against each other, and in the second, 100 Thieves Academy and Wildcard Red played. In the duel between Team Liquid Academy and Dignitas Academy, representatives of Liquid won with a score of 2-1. The second match was held with the same result, and 100 Thieves Academy players were the winner there.

The losing rosters fell into the lower bracket, where they will continue their path to success. Dignitas Academy will face off against the winner of the Resolve NA vs. Immortals Academy match, while Wildcard Red will play against the best-performing team between Golden Guardians Academy and Cloud9 Academy.

Team Liquid Academy and 100 Thieves Academy, in turn, will fight each other for reaching the grand final on the night of September 23-24.

LCS Proving Grounds Summer 2021 started on September 2 and will end on the 26th. This championship is designed for academics from well-known organizations and is an excellent springboard into big esports for players who do not have impressive experience. The total prize fund of the event is $ 100,000. The winner will take home a $ 30,000 reward, while the silver medalist will take $ 20,000. The teams that will take the 3rd and 4th places will receive $ 15,000 and $ 10,000, respectively. The teams that take 5-6 lines in the standings will earn $ 7,500 each, and the most modest prize of $ 5,000 will go to the participants who will take 7-8 places.
