LCS Spring 2023 is already the 12th LCS series tournament in League of Legends schedule and the most prestigious event in North America. The Spring 2023 tournament will take place on the home stage at the Riot Games LCS Studio headquarters and will also visit NRG Stadium in Los Angeles.
The tournament will retain its usual features, such as the division into several stages, the number of participants and the prize pool, but will give spectators a new schedule of matches. Regular season games will be played on Thursdays and Fridays, while week 4 and week 8 will be played on three days - Wednesday to Friday.
LCS Spring 2023 will run from January 26 to March 17. For nearly three months, 10 teams from North America will compete for a combined prize pool of $200,000 and berths to the season's first international tournament, the Mid-Season Invitational 2023.

Highlights of LCS Spring 2023: Participants and prize pool
One of the oldest competitive leagues in professional football, the LCS Spring 2023 will be a classic showdown between North American teams. Teams will meet at the LCS Studio in Los Angeles for 8 weeks to determine the 6 teams that will advance to the next round.
The Top 6 teams will visit NRG Stadium for the final LoL matches of the split. Some of the top clubs in North America, well known outside of the region, will be among the tournament partners.

- FlyQuest, Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, Golden Guardians, CLG, TSM, 100 Thieves, Team Liquid, Immortals, Dignitas.
The total prize pool for LCS Spring 2023 is $200,000 and there will be two entries to MSI 2023. The prize pool has remained unchanged from last year.
Due to the nature of the championship, only the top four teams will receive cash prizes: 1st place will get $100,000, 2nd place $50,000, 3rd place will earn $30,000 and 4th place $20,000. In addition to the cash prizes, the top two teams will go to London for MSI 2023.
Format of LCS Spring 2023
The LCS Spring 2023 split will be held in two stages. Firstly, the group stage will be played and then the championship play-offs.
In the group stage, the teams will play Double Round Robin with bo1 matches for 8 weeks. Each team will play 18 matches to determine the best 6 teams for the play-offs.
The final round is played with a Double Elimination format. The teams ranked 1st to 4th in the regular season will play in the semifinals, the Top 5 and Top 6 teams will play in the first round of the tie-break.
All matches in the LCS Spring 2023 play-offs will be played in boo5 format.
