Dota2 EWC results – Team Yandex upset Shopify Rebellion 2–0 at Esports World Cup 2025 (BO3)
Team Yandex shocked North American hopefuls Shopify Rebellion with a clean 2–0 victory in the opening round of the Esports World Cup 2025 playoffs.
The first map stretched over70 minutes in a wild back-and-forth slugfest. Timado led early for Shopify, farming fast and finding kills with Yopaj-, but Team Yandex outlasted the late-game chaos. TA2000 was the difference-maker, staying deathless while putting out massive damage in every fight. With Solo controlling vision and Chira Junior landing key spells, the TY side closed out a drawn-out 43–30 win.
Game two was far more one-sided. Team Yandex hit the ground running with Noticed dominating the offlane and TA2000 once again farming at record speed. Shopify struggled to get anything going and couldn’t hold their ground once Yandex grouped up. With clean rotations and tight teamplay, their squad snowballed to a 27–9 win in just over 30 minutes.
With this result, Team Yandex move on to the quarterfinals to face Gaimin Gladiators on Sunday, July 13 at 3:30 PM. Shopify Rebellion exit the tournament in the Round of 16, falling short of the top-eight finish. Also coming up on Sunday: Talon face off against Tundra, while Natus Vincere meet Team Falcons in a must-watch showdown to close out the day.
