From April 7th to 13th, one of the biggest Dota 2 tournaments of the year — ESL One Raleigh — took place. The event gathered 12 of the world’s best teams, who competed for the championship title and a $1 million prize pool. The grand final was played on April 13th, 2025, so it's time to recap the event. In this article, we’ll highlight who won ESL One Raleigh 2025 and the teams that made a strong impression.
The Journey of PARIVISION and Team Spirit to the Grand Final of ESL One Raleigh 2025
As mentioned earlier, the grand final was held on April 13 and featured a Bo5 matchup between PARIVISION and Team Spirit. Both teams were considered favorites heading into ESL One Raleigh 2025, but their paths to the grand final were quite different. During the group stage, both teams played in Group A, finishing first and second respectively, which qualified them for the upper bracket of the playoffs.
In the Upper Bracket Semifinals, PARIVISION lost 1-2 to Tundra Esports, dropping them to the lower bracket. There, they fought through tough series, defeating Team Liquid and BB Team 2-1. In the Lower Bracket Final, they took revenge on Tundra Esports, winning another tight 2-1 series.
Team Spirit, on the other hand, had an easier path. They defeated both Team Falcons and Tundra Esports with 2-1 scores and advanced directly to the grand final.
PARIVISION Crowned Champions of ESL One Raleigh 2025 After Defeating Team Spirit
The grand final was played in a Bo5 format, which ensures that the stronger team comes out on top. Let’s briefly review the match.
Before the match, most people favored Team Spirit, considering their prior performances. However, PARIVISION came out determined from the very first map. Both teams played cautiously, avoiding large-scale fights and focusing on farming. In the late game, PARIVISION proved superior, securing a 19-16 win in 37 minutes and taking a 1-0 lead. That first win may have set the tone for the rest of the series.
Fueled by momentum, PARIVISION continued their dominance on the second map, seizing control early on. The game played out similarly to the first, and PARIVISION secured a convincing 25-8 win in 36 minutes. They were now just one map away from winning ESL One Raleigh 2025.
But Team Spirit weren't ready to give up. In a hard-fought third map, they bounced back with a 34-16 victory in 40 minutes.
Heading into the fourth map, the stakes couldn’t have been higher. However, it was PARIVISION who showed a greater hunger for victory. Their draft was brilliant — picking Templar Assassin for the carry role and Storm Spirit mid, supported by well-suited teammates. In the end, they beat Team Spirit 26-10 in 39 minutes, closing out the series 3-1 and becoming the champions of ESL One Raleigh 2025.
