The peak online viewership at the last edition of The International:
- The International 2023 - 1.44 million
- The International 2022 - 1.75 million
- The International 2021 - 2.74 million
- The International 2019 - 1.96 million
- The International 2018 - 1.2 million
This result marked the lowest viewership in recent years. The only instance with a lower peak viewership was during The International 2018 when 1.2 million viewers were reached.
The decrease in interest is likely linked to the tournament's prize pool, which currently stands at $3.1 million. However, this amount could still increase through the sale of in-game compendiums, but it represents the slowest growth rate in prize money since 2014. Since then, the final prize pool has consistently exceeded $10 million.
