ESL Announces COVID-19 Charity Tournament With $ 1,500,000 Prize Pool
Ihor MatusESL, together with SAFEIS, the Federation of Electronic and Intellectual Sports from Saudi Arabia, spoke about the Dota 2 charity championship with a prize pool of $ 1,500,000. In addition, organizations will host Gamers Without Borders 2020 in other eSports disciplines, with a total prize of $ 10,000,000. All funds raised through crowdfunding will be used to combat COVID-19.
The organizers noticed that interested players from around the world will be able to join the fight against coronavirus by joining this procession in the competitions of one of the many disciplines, or by contributing. The event will be held for seven weeks.
As for Dota 2, here eight participants will meet each other in the championship, which starts on May 15 and ends on the 17th, and will share $ 1,500,000. Teams will compete in the single-elimination grid with Bo3 matches.
