Talon Esports scored 300 DPC points in the 2021/2022 DPC season, making them the leaders in their region among the remaining teams that have not yet qualified for The International 2022. 23savage and the team started the qualification against the DPC champions SEA 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division II, Mongolian collective Lilgun. Having gained the upper hand with a score of 2:0, Talon Esports met with Polaris Esports. In a protracted confrontation, 23savage and his teammates outplayed the opponent and reached the final of the upper bracket.

Their opponents from T1 managed to strengthen before the start of the qualification with two former world champions in the face of Topson and ana. In the winners' bracket, T1 defeated Execration with a score of 2:0, after which they had to play against RSG. Roddgeee and the team also did not win a single map against Whitemon and his star colleagues and went to the lower bracket.

Both teams have already received a ticket to Singapore, since Talon Esports and T1 thus won places in the top 3 and will go at least to the Last Chance Qualifier. The winner of the match will advance to the grand final where they will compete for a slot in the group stage of The International 2022.

Recall that The International 2022: Southeast Asia Qualifier takes place from September 13 to 17 of this year in an online format. The top 13 teams in Southeast Asia that did not qualify for the World Championship based on DPC points are fighting for the only slot in the main stage of The International 2022. Participants who take 2nd and 3rd places will go to Singapore to participate in Last Chance qualifier.
