DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I tiebreakers are over
Maksym ShylovThe tiebreakers of the DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I has come to an end. We have witnessed two series of tiebreakers. In the first 4 teams, namely Team Aster, Xtreme Gaming, PSG.LGD and Aster.Aries fought for 3 prize places from 2nd to 4th, the reward for which are slots at PGL Arlington Major.
According to the rules of the final part of the DPC 2021/2022 season, in case of tiebreakers for 3 or more teams, bo1 matches are played according to the Round-Robin system. Based on the results of 5 matches, PSG.LGD, Xtreme Gaming and Team Aster became the participants of the Major in the USA. It is worth noting that PSG.LGD refused to participate in the match for 3rd-4th places, which led them to a technical defeat. This decision reflects the extremely unmotivated performance of the former finalists of The International throughout the league, because the team has already guaranteed itself a place in the main event of the year. Previously, the first place in the league was won by Royal Never Give Up.
The second tiebreaker was played by eSports clubs EHOME and Vici Gaming. The losing team leaves the first division and will continue to play in the lower leagues the next season. This series was held in bo3 format. In a competitive confrontation, EHOME managed to win with a score of 2:1. Thus, Vici Gaming drop down to the second division and form the company of Dandelion Esport Club, which occupy the last line with a score of 1-6.
