OG and Thunder Awaken become new members of The International 2022

OG took third place there and earned enough points to reach The International 2022. Thunder Awaken, in turn, performed so well in the event that they already took first place ahead of schedule at the Dota Pro Circuit South America Season 2021/2022 Tour 3 Division 1.
DPC SA Season 2021/2022 Tour 3 Div 1 runs from June 9 to July 17. The total prize pool of the tournament is $205,000 and 1,150 Dota Pro Circuit rating points. Thunder Awaken are in first place with a 6-1 statistic. Thanks to this performance, Thunder Awaken received 500 DPC points and overtook all the participants in the world ranking, taking first place in the ranking. Now they have 1,540 DPC points, while their nearest opponent PSG.LGD has 1,450. Beastcoast and Infamous will fight for the second place in the South American DPC standings.

DPC WEU Season 2021/2022 Tour 3 Div 1 was held from June 7 to July 14. The total prize pool of the tournament was $205,000 and 1,150 Dota Pro Circuit rating points. OG took third place in the standings, thanks to which they earned 200 DPC points, which was enough to qualify for The International. In addition, the four best teams of this event earned invites to PGL Arlington Major 2022.

Earlier, we talked about the fact that PSG.LGD became the first participant in The International 2022.
The International 2022 will take place from 15 to 30 October. The venue will be Suntec Singapore and Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore. The total prize fund of the championship will be the initial $1,600,000 + collected funds from the sales of the Battle Pass. As a reminder, 25% of the collected funds go to the prize pool, which go to the Valve wallet through the Battle Pass. The group stage will take place in the first three days of the tournament. After that, the participants will have a couple of days off. The main stage will be held in two periods: from October 20 to October 23 and from October 29 to 30. The International 2022 will invite 11 more teams that will receive the most ranking points during the Dota Pro Circuit season, as well as six participants who will enter the championship through regional qualifiers in each region: North America, South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, China and Southeast Asia. The remaining two slots will be distributed among 2 teams from 12 participating teams from the Wild Card.
