On the night of May 2, DPC 2021/2022 Tour II ended in all regions. It's time to go over the main points of the past cycle.
Results of DPC 2021/2022 Tour II: Western Europe
In Western Europe, we see a trend that was born in the first round. DotA's "mastodons" can't cope with the pressure of young players.
The champions of the top division were OG, who gathered their roster at the end of 2021 from promising and not the most famous performers at that time.
The top four also included the champions of the first DPC 2021/22 cycle, Gaimin Gladiators, who fully justified the title of one of the strongest teams in Europe. The only representative of the "old school" dota.
In the lower division of Europe, the situation is reversed. There, the leading positions were taken by well-known representatives of the world of competitive dota represented by Goonsquad and Alliance
Summing up Western Europe, one cannot fail to note the main event - the fall of Nigma Galaxy to the lower division. This is the club's worst result since its founding in 2019.
Results of DPC 2021/2022 Tour II: China
The Chinese region continues to live by the canons. Here, eminent players do not give up to young stars and continue to firmly hold the leading position.
Monumental stability is demonstrated by PSG.LGD, who have taken first place for the second round in a row. Among the strongest teams were debuting in the top division Xtreme with Paparazzi, dy and pyw, as well as RNG with Maybe at the head.
In the lower division, DPC rookies from Dandelion Esports Club, as well as Aster.Aries, showed themselves the best. Let's see if the former will be able to break the established traditions with the dominance of the "old men", and the latter will be able to overtake the senior team of Team Aster.
Results of DPC 2021/2022 Tour II: Eastern Europe
Against all odds, the season in Eastern Europe took place. It is difficult to call it full-fledged, but we have what we have.
In atypical conditions, BetBoom Team showed themselves the best. They quite unexpectedly overtook Team Spirit, thus advancing to the Major and displacing them from the champion's place.
The "dragons" themselves did not stand aside. After a slap in the face from BB Team, they went over the heads of their competitors in their usual manner and secured the second place in the tournament.
The last slot for the Major unexpectedly went to Mind Games. The disqualification of the Outsiders helped them a lot in this.
The broken trough turned out to be teams from the lower division of Eastern Europe. It is absolutely not clear in what format they will play and whether they will play at all.
Results of DPC 2021/2022 Tour II: Southeast Asia
In Southeast Asia, this season was remembered for constant swings and incomprehensible replays. Best of all in these conditions, Fnatic revealed, which took the first line of the top division.
In leadership positions: BOOM and T1. According to the results of the second cycle, Neon Esports and Execration remained outside the first division.
In the lower division, they were looking for the revival of Talon Esports, which were clearly dormant in the first season, as well as for the dominance of the team from the open qualifiers - RSG. This pair of teams will be interesting to see in the top league in the next round.
Results of DPC 2021/2022 Tour II: North America
No change in the North American region. There, the “big three” have seized the top positions and are not going to go anywhere from there.
The only shifts in North America happened in the distribution of seats. This season, the title of the best team in the region was taken back by Evil Geniuses, while TSM finished second.
Quincy Crew's efforts were not enough. After winning the championship in the first season, the team again missed the major.
Drama unfolded in the lower division with two series of replays. Following the results of the past meetings, 5RATFORCESTAFF and felt earned a place in the top division.
Results of DPC 2021/2022 Tour II: South America
South America is obviously very similar to North America in terms of general patterns. There are a lot of fresh players, but the same teams get into the list of the best.
In this draw, Thunder Predator became the best, beating the champions of the first round represented by Beastcoast. It is these teams that will represent South America at ESL One Stockholm 2022.
In the lower division, SG esports made a comeback, having fallen there after a careless performance during the first season.
The second cycle of the DPC 2021/2022 Tour II turned out to be spectacular, but very far from ideal. Moreover, he absorbed all the worst of the current Valve system.
