Chinese teams will not play at ESL Stockholm Major 2022
Already on May 12, the first “real” major of the season starts. ESL Stockholm Major 2022 was supposed to be a big DotA celebration, but it doesn't look like it will be.
Today, the most pessimistic guesses were confirmed: PSG.LGD will not play in the Major. Moreover, other teams from China will not get to Stockholm.
Due to the new outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in China, all teams are in quarantine and now they have no way to apply for visas. Instead of going to Stockholm, the Chinese teams will play in the regional finals, as they did in the first season.
Recall that 4 teams were selected from China to Sweden, and now the fate of these slots is unknown. DPC 2021/2022 China Regional Finals will start on May 6th and will last until May 8th.
