WePlay! Tug of War: Mad Moon

General description
WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon will be held on 19-23 February in the studio of the WePlay! company in Kyiv, Ukraine. Eight participants will be fighting for the prize pool of $300,000 and the winner will get $130,00 out of it.
Prize pool
The competition is not included in the Valve rating system, so the organizers will not play for the rating points which are necessary to get to The International 2020 directly. Apart from $300,000 of the prize money, $10,000 will be received by the best support player and the best core player.

- 1 place: $130,000
- 2 place: $60,000
- 3 place: $30,000
- 4 place: $20,000
- 5-6 place: $12,000
- 7-8 place: $8,000
- Best support player - $10,000
- Best core player - $10,000
Participants
In total, eight teams will be taking part in WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon. Four of them will be invited directly and another four slots will be received by the winners of the previous event of the WePlay! studio.

Format
The organizers of WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon did not think of anything unusual for the group stage - all the participants will get divided into two groups where they are to play by the GSL format with matches up to two wins. One best roster from each of the groups will get to the upper bracket of the playoff and the teams taking second positions will start their way in the lower bracket and the other participants will begin with an elimination match.
