Gambit and Liquid reached the playoffs of ESL Pro League Season 14
/The fourth round of ESL Pro League Season 14 has ended, after which Gambit and Liquid secured their way to the playoffs of the championship. The teams scored enough points to break away from their pursuers and guarantee a place in the playoffs.
Liquid - Team One
The first players to get to the server were Liquid and Team One. However, the Brazilians again did not get involved in the struggle, having received another crushing defeat.
Already at the start of the Mirage map, it became clear that the Brazilian team had come to terms with their position, having come up with nothing against Liquid's defense. As a result, the North Americans confidently finished the half, taking eleven rounds into their pockets. Despite all the mistakes "liquid" in the attack, as well as a series of single rounds from Team One, Liquid confidently won the opponent's pick - 16: 8 - and moved on.
On the Inferno map, it seemed that the Brazilians would try to reanimate the situation before the teams switched sides. The fact is that Team One's attack turned out to be unadapted to the fight, which was so skillfully used by the guys from Liquid, who recorded the victory on their choice - 16:11.
Gambit - Entropiq
Later we were shown the CIS derby, in which Entropiq once again lacked the confidence and experience to impose at least some kind of struggle.
And it all started for the team on the Dust 2 map, where the guys from Gambit hardly play. As a result, after a successful starting segment, Entropiq lost all its advantage, and completely letting the opponent go ahead before switching sides. Despite the fact that the situation was even in the second half, Gambit had no problems snatching a victory on someone else's pick - 16:13.
On the Vertigo map, everything started with a comfortable advantage for the Gambit team, which received a two-fold lead in rounds before the side switching. On the defensive side, however, the team was more restrained, allowing Entropiq to close the gap. And yet, the leader of the standings did not give up, once again showing confident play in the end - 16:10.
NIP - FURIA
In the evening, NIP and FURIA prepared a sensation that confused all the alignments in the fight for the third place in Group D.
The match began on the Nuke map, where the Swedes played a confident half in defense, breaking away from the opponent for three rounds. However, in their defense, the Brazilians looked incomparable, practically not letting the hampus and the company breathe. As a result, FURIA won nine rounds in a row to secure the victory of their choice - 16:13.
At Ancient, the FURIA team continued to trample the NIP players, who were on fire with a 4:11 score before the changeover. However, the Swedes remembered that it was not in vain that they chose the map and prepared for the opponent, showing a well-coordinated game in defense. This confidence was enough to make a steep comeback in the second half and equalize in the series - 16:14.
The Mirage map started in a similar way, as the Brazilians quickly galloped forward, playing defense, almost solving all the issues in advance. However, this time the NIP was only enough for a few rounds before the Swedes made their first blunders and finally gave up the game - 16: 9.
