Gambit, Liquid and NIP won another victory in ESL Pro League Season 14
/The third round of the ESL Pro League Season 14 group stage has ended. In general, the game day went without incident, since all the favorites took three points and strengthened their positions in the standings. Nevertheless,
NIP - Team One
The game day was opened by rather extravagant guys from Brazil, who still couldn't manage to win at least a map. In another corner of the server, there were Swedes who were clearly eager to take easy three points.
The meeting began on the Nuke map, which the Brazilians so successfully wanted to surprise. However, this trick did not work with the guys from NIP, who already took eleven rounds in the first half, creating a weighty claim to win. Another thing is that Team One tried to give a comeback, having managed to tickle the nerves of the favorite. Still, the Swedes remained adamant, taking the opponent's pick with a score of 16:11.
On Overpass, everything was much more difficult, because once again the Brazilian team had an advantage in the score, but failed to see it through to the end. As a result, the Swedes, taking advantage of the impotence of the opponent, were able to bring the case to overtime, where they proved to be stronger thanks to the chic clutch from REZ - 19:15.
Liquid - Entropiq
After that, we watched another test of durability for Entropiq, which, unfortunately, the team did not pass again. It all started at Vertigo, and the Russian team started off very confidently, at some point counting on a defeat before the changeover. However, expectations played a cruel joke with the team, which not only lost the advantage, but also did not come up with anything in the second half, quickly letting Liquid go ahead. The North Americans were in agreement with such a situation, having recorded the victory at the opponent's pick - 16:12.
The Overpass card leaked with a similar key; and if the first half went in favor of the Russian team, then after the side change, Liquid began to return to the game. It is noteworthy that Entropiq once again failed in the attack, unable to find the key to the opponent's defense. The final score is 16:12 in favor of Liquid, as a result of the inexperience of the CIS team.
Gambit - FURIA
In the evening, it seemed that the Brazilians would impose a fight, presenting their aggressive style of play. And Gambit did not inspire such fear as to give the team a victory in advance.
However, already on the first map it became clear that there is only one team on the server. Gambit really looked stronger and more savvy in every moment, while the Brazilians clearly did not expect such agility from the opponent. But if in the first half there was at least some kind of struggle against FURIA, then after the change of sides the team fell apart, leaving an easy victory in the hands of the Gambit players - 16: 8.
At Vertigo the situation got even worse, because after the first half the Brazilians were burning with a score of 4:11, clearly not wanting to continue. This is what happened, because after the change of sides, FURIA finally disappeared from the radar, while Gambit recorded an easy victory in its choice - 16: 5.
