The first game day in the playoffs did not leave us without sensations. In the first confrontation, Astralis defeated Virtus.pro with a score of 2-1, which did not come as a big surprise for us, but an unexpected turn awaited us in the second confrontation. In it, FaZe Clan defeated Gambit Esports with a similar result.

First, the teams fought at Ancient, where FaZe Clan, being three rounds away from failure, still prevailed in the fight against Gambit Esports. On Overpass, the team was defeated in the second series of overtimes with a score of 20-22, and on Inferno the team came up with fresh ideas. There FaZe Clan started on the attacking side and were able to take 9 rounds. After the transition, they lost only 3 rounds and prevailed in this confrontation against Gambit Esports.

It is noteworthy that the chances of Gambit winning were estimated at about 70%, which made FaZe Clan, although not obvious, but still an outsider.

This game day became very dramatic for the CIS audience, because both representatives of this region were defeated in their fights. The teams are on the 5-6th line in the standings and earned $ 40,000 by their labor.

In tomorrow's game day, G2 Esports will fight Astralis for reaching the grand final, and in the second semifinal match, FaZe Clan and NAVI will compete for the same opportunity.
