IEM Summer 2021 organizers announced new details

The tournament operator organizing Intel Extreme Masters Summer 2021 has announced new details regarding the championship. ESL told how the teams were seeded by group, who will play with whom in the debut matches, and when exactly these matches will be played.

Group A includes such teams as Gambit Esports, Team Vitality, Complexity Gaming, Astralis, FPX Esports, Extra Salt and G2 Esports. Gambit in the first match will fight with a participant whom we do not know yet, the winner of the NC Global Playoff. Vitality will face off against Complexity Gaming, Astralis will face off against FPX Esports, and Extra Salt will face off against G2 Esports.

Group B includes Heroic, Imperial Esports, Evil Geniuses, Team Spirit, NiP, OG, Fnatic and Virtus.pro. Heroic in the match with Imperial Esports will determine which of them will advance to the next round of the upper bracket, Evil Geniuses will play with Team Spirit, NiP will face off against OG in the European derby, and Fnatic will face the CIS-team Virtus.pro.

Intel Extreme Masters Summer 2021 starts on June 3 and ends on the 13th. The total prize pool of the championship is $ 250,000. The winner will take home $ 100,000, 1,000 ESL Pro Tour Ranking Points and 2,600 BLAST Premier Points.
