Ukrainian team B8 sensationally defeated G2 Esports with a score of 2:1 in the first stage of ESL Pro League Season 22, showcasing confident play on the decisive map Ancient and moving one step closer to advancing to the next stage of the tournament.

Mirage (13:9 B8)

On their own pick, Mirage, the Ukrainian squad started confidently with an aggressive T-side, which allowed them to secure a strong economy and win the first half 9:3. In the second half, G2 tried to close the gap, narrowing the score to 9:11, but B8 did not allow their opponents to seize the momentum and closed the map 13:9.

Dust2 (13:7 G2)

There was no clear favorite in the first half of Dust2, as both teams kept trading rounds and shifting the advantage back and forth. The half ended in a tie — 6:6. In the second half, B8 could not break through G2’s defense, winning only one T round. G2 had no problem closing the map with a score of 13:7.

Ancient (13:2 B8)

On the decisive Ancient, B8 controlled virtually every round, while G2 looked lost and unprepared for the map. B8 confidently won the first half 10:2. Coming back from such a crushing deficit was nearly impossible, and the Ukrainian squad easily closed the map 13:2.
