
TYLOO eliminated Astralis – Esports World Cup 2025 Round of 16
TYLOO overcame Astralis 2–1 in a best-of-three clash at the Esports World Cup 2025 Round of 16. The Danish side struck first on Inferno (13–8), but TYLOO answered with a strong win on Overpass (13–7) before closing the decider on Train (13–10). Qianhao “Moseyuh” Chen stood out as the MVP, finishing with 55 kills and multiple clutch plays that carried TYLOO through key moments. Astralis showed fight through Victor “Staehr” Staehr and Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard, but fell short. TYLOO now move forward to face Vitality in the quarterfinals.
Map 1 – Inferno (13:8 Astralis)
TYLOO picked Inferno but could not make it work. Astralis controlled the pace, finishing the first half 8–4 on CT side before closing the second half 5–4. Staehr led the scoreboard with 49 frags across the series and was key on Inferno, while jabbi delivered a clean 1v3 clutch in round 14 to break TYLOO’s momentum. JamYoung tried to respond with entry impact, but Astralis stayed solid to secure the opening map.
Map 2 – Overpass (13:7 TYLOO)
Astralis’s pick backfired as TYLOO found their stride. The half ended even at 6–6, but TYLOO’s T side erupted with a 7–1 run to close the map. Moseyuh’s 1v2 P250 clutch in round 14 set the tone, followed by a critical late-round clutch from him and Jee in round 20 to seal the victory. Astralis struggled to find answers, with device having a quieter game, while TYLOO’s discipline pushed the series to Train.
Map 3 – Train (13:10 TYLOO)
The decider delivered the most drama. Astralis led 8–4 at the half, but TYLOO staged a strong comeback with a 9–2 CT side. Moseyuh pulled off back-to-back 1v2 clutches, and Jee closed the game with a decisive 1v2 post-plant retake to secure the series. Jabbi again delivered a highlight with a 1v3 clutch to keep Astralis in the fight, but TYLOO’s resilience carried them through to victory.
With this win, TYLOO advance to the quarterfinals to meet Vitality, who defeated Liquid earlier in the day. Astralis exit in the Round of 16, finishing 9–16th with a $20,000 prize. Other results included 3DMAX upsetting Natus Vincere and The MongolZ eliminating GamerLegion.








The Esports World Cup 2025 runs from August 20–24 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, featuring 16 teams and a $1,250,000 prize pool. The winner takes home $500,000, second place earns $230,000, and third place secures $130,000. The event uses a single-elimination format with best-of-three matches leading up to a best-of-five grand final.
