M80 defeat OG on Austin Major 2025 Stage 2

In a high-pressure 0–1 match, M80 clutched up in overtime to take down OG 16–13 on Ancient. With both halves ending in a deadlock (6–6 each), the American side stepped up in the final stretch, going 4–1 in OT to secure their first win of Stage 2.

The star of the show was Germany’s slaxz-, who dropped 29 kills and posted a 1.54 rating while anchoring both sites with clinical precision. Lake nearly matched him frag for frag with 29 of his own and a 1.41 rating, but it was reck who turned heads with a stunning 4K entry on B in Round 19—one of the cleanest sequences of the map.

OG had their moments, especially nicoodoz with his sharp AWPing (26–19, 1.20 rating), but the rest of the roster faltered under pressure. Chr1zN and F1KU struggled to hold key angles, and their defensive setups couldn’t handle M80’s mid-round calls once overtime hit.
