
Valve Announce Invites for BLAST.tv Austin Major
The professional CS2 season is in full swing, with teams actively competing and preparing for upcoming events. One of the most important tournaments of the year is set to be the BLAST.tv Austin Major, and every team is aiming to secure a spot. Recently, Valve released their monthly update of regional standings, which directly determines which teams receive invites to this and other key tournaments. The rankings, published today, April 7, 2025, have revealed which teams received direct invites to Stage 3 or Stage 2, as well as which teams will compete in the Major Regional Qualifiers to earn a spot in Stage 1.

All CS2 Teams Invited to the BLAST.tv Austin Major
A total of 32 teams will participate in the BLAST.tv Austin Major. Sixteen of them received direct invites, while the rest will have to qualify through regional competitions. Eight teams will begin in Stage 3, meaning they will skip the first two Swiss-format stages, and another eight teams will start in Stage 2, skipping only the first stage.

Major Regional Qualifiers (MRQ)

Teams that were not directly invited still have a chance to make it to the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. They will need to go through the Major Regional Qualifiers, and if successful, they will proceed to Stage 1 of the tournament.
