Closing Match of the Day at BLAST Premier: World Final 2024 - Vitality vs Team Spirit

Today’s final match: Vitality vs Team Spirit. The French team hasn’t won a major tournament in a while and is hungrier for victory than ever. Meanwhile, Team Spirit, fresh off a recent win at Dacha Belgrade, is feeling confident. This match promises to be anything but dull.

Map picks for the match: Team Spirit chose Anubis, Vitality picked Mirage, and Dust2 will be the decider.

First map, Anubis: Both teams followed today’s trend, fighting for every round and keeping the score close. However, in the second half, Team Spirit showed that this was their map, securing the win without too much trouble.

The next map is Mirage—Vitality’s pick and one of their strongest, which has helped them claim multiple tournament victories. But Spirit also knows their way around Mirage and has proven it on several occasions.

The second map was a tough battle for both teams, with neither wanting to give up today’s victory. The winner wasn’t clear until the very end. Despite an impressive force-buy win from Vitality at 12:10, Team Spirit managed to pull through, claiming the BO3 victory 2-0. They sent Vitality to the lower bracket, where Vitality will face Team Liquid, while Team Spirit will go up against G2 Esports tomorrow.
