Golden has finished his career

Renowned Swedish pro player and ex-fnatic leader, Maikil “Golden” Selim ended his 9-year career at the age of 30.

Golden is primarily known for playing for fnatic and Cloud9 where he reached the peak of his career.

As a member of fnatic, Golden won the Intel Extreme Masters XII - World Championship, World Electronic Sports Games 2017, DreamHack Masters Malmö 2019, ESL Pro League Season 11: Europe and many other tournaments.

After leaving fnatic, the Swede continued to play on the Tier-2/3 scene with Savage, Godsent, and his last team was the Eyeballers organization recreated by flusha and JW.

The last tournament for the 30-year-old was YaLLa Compass Summer 2024, where his team took 16th-18th place.

Maikil also stated that he is going to focus on coaching after his playing career ends and is already actively looking for an organization.
