Add as a Preferred Source

The first day of the BLAST Spring Final 2024 has successfully concluded. Not all favorites managed to win their matches, and G2 Esports, who played without m0NESY but with coach TaZ, came close to victory against Team Spirit, as we previously discussed. We invite you to take a look at the match results.

The results of the first day of the BLAST Spring Final 2024

There were a total of 4 matches played on the first day, namely: FaZe Clan vs SAW, Natus Vincere vs Astralis, Team Vitality vs Virtus.pro, and G2 Esports vs Team Spirit.

FaZe Clan vs SAW

In the matches, favorites FaZe Clan managed to defeat the Portuguese team SAW, despite facing difficulties on the first map, Ancient, where they had to resolve everything in overtime. Nevertheless, FaZe Clan won the opening match with a score of 2:0.

  • 1. SAW removed Mirage
  • 2. FaZe removed Vertigo
  • 3. SAW picked Ancient (FaZe Clan 19:16 SAW)
  • 4. FaZe picked Inferno (FaZe Clan 13:5 SAW)
  • 5. SAW removed Dust2
  • 6. FaZe removed Anubis
  • 7. Nuke was left over

Natus Vincere vs Astralis

Many analysts agreed that Astralis should have been defeating NAVI, but NAVI managed to make a comeback on the first map, Nuke, from the attacking side, winning the map when they were trailing 9-4. It all started with a won force-buy round after losing the pistol round against Astralis. Natus Vincere found a way to outplay Astralis and demonstrated a confident attack. On the second map, the Danes had a decent start, leading 4-0 on the defensive side of Dust 2, but Natus Vincere rallied and won the map. NAVI won their opening match with a score of 2:0 against Astralis.

  • 1. Astralis removed Anubis
  • 2. Natus Vincere removed Vertigo
  • 3. Astralis picked Nuke (Natus Vincere 13:11 Astralis)
  • 4. Natus Vincere picked Dust2 (Natus Vincere 13:9 Astralis)
  • 5. Astralis removed Inferno
  • 6. Natus Vincere removed Ancient
  • 7. Mirage was left over

Virtus.pro vs Team Vitality

Vitality, the clear favorites of the match, faced problems due to a comeback on the second map, which created difficulties for them. On the decisive map, Anubis, they couldn't handle their opponent, and Virtus.pro outplayed them, winning the match with a score of 2:1.

  • 1. Virtus.pro removed Nuke
  • 2. Vitality removed Ancient
  • 3. Virtus.pro picked Inferno (Team Vitality 13:5 Virtus.pro)
  • 4. Vitality picked Dust2 (Virtus.pro 13:11 Team Vitality)
  • 5. Virtus.pro removed Vertigo
  • 6. Vitality removed Mirage
  • 7. Anubis was left over (Virtus.pro 13:10 Team Vitality)

Team Spirit vs G2 Esports

The match between Team Spirit and G2 turned out to be extremely interesting, especially considering that G2 played without their star player, m0NESY, who couldn't fly to the UK for the first game day due to visa issues. The team's coach, TaZ, had to play in his place, and surprisingly, they were on the verge of winning the match. They managed to outplay Team Spirit on the first map, Ancient, but couldn't impose serious competition in the subsequent maps. Team Spirit won the match with a score of 2:1.
