Imperial won against ENCE in the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Challengers Stage. The match lasted for over 40 rounds!

The opening match for ENCE in the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Challengers Stage ended in a bitter defeat against Imperial Esports. The bo1 series lasted for 41 rounds, and not even Kylar's ACE on the A bombsite on Anubis could help the ENCE team. Let's break down this match.

Summary of the ENCE vs Imperial match in the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Challengers Stage:

The map veto led the teams to the map Anubis, with ENCE starting on the strong side, the attacking side. The won first pistol round contributed to taking a series of 3 rounds, but Imperial managed to equalize the score after that. After the eco-round, the Polish lineup of ENCE regrouped and took a good series of rounds, resulting in an 8-4 score in favor of ENCE at the end of the first half. However, it was too early to relax; it's not uncommon to see that 8 rounds for the attack on Anubis are not always enough to win the map, and this was confirmed by the pistol round won by the Brazilians. Eventually, the second half was steadily approaching its conclusion, and ENCE were on the verge of losing in regulation time, trailing 10-12. However, Imperial didn't have enough strength to finish it off without overtime, and the Poles, with gla1ve at the helm, leveled the score. In the overtimes, the teams struggled for a long time to determine the winner of this match, and Kylar's ACE at 17-17 was supposed to tilt Imperial Esports.

However, the Brazilians were on top of their game today and demonstrated that other teams should take them seriously. After 41 rounds, Imperial Esports defeated ENCE with a score of 22:19.
