The second day of the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Challengers Stage has come to a close. Following the matches played, Cloud9 and Heroic secured the 1st and 2nd places respectively, earning slots in the Elimination Stage. Meanwhile, the teams AMKAL and KOI exited the championship, finishing at the bottom. Let's take a closer look.

Results of the match between Cloud9 and sAw at the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Challengers Stage:

Cloud9 managed to get their revenge against sAw. Recall that they lost to them in the BLAST Premier 2024 with a score of 0:2, leading to their elimination from the championship. However, the situation is completely opposite now, and Cloud9 were able to outplay the Portuguese team with a score of 2:0. Although, it wasn't without overtimes, and Cloud9 had to put in some effort especially on the first map, Nuke. On the second map, Anubis, things were a bit easier. The Portuguese team failed to demonstrate a solid defense, and two rounds were clearly not enough for victory on the map. As a result, it ended 13:9 in favor of Cloud9.

Results of the match between HEROIC and Eternal Fire at the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Challengers Stage:

An interesting match unfolded between these two teams. On the first map, Vertigo, HEROIC managed to win the first half as attackers with a score of 9:3. However, Eternal Fire took nine rounds in a row and were just three rounds away from winning the map. However, nicodoz and company rallied at the last moment and pushed the map into overtime, where they managed to outplay Eternal Fire, who couldn't find a solution to HEROIC's attacks. On the second map, Mirage, the Turkish team from Eternal Fire had a decent defensive half, winning with a score of 7:5. However, they couldn't follow up with successful attacks in the second half, failing to win a single round and sealing the deal for Eternal Fire in this match.

Results of the match between FURIA and KOI at the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Challengers Stage:

The first map, Overpass, started extremely well for the Brazilians from FURIA. They managed to win as attackers with a score of 10:2 and comfortably closed out the map with a score of 13:6 in their favor. On the second map, Vertigo, KOI showed a decent defense, ending the half tied at 6:6. However, they faced significant issues in their attacks, resulting in only three rounds won, and that was it. KOI exited the championship after losing to FURIA in the elimination match with a score of 0:2.

Results of the match between TheMongolz and AMKAL at the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Challengers Stage:

The first map, Nuke, didn't go well for AMKAL. They performed terribly on their map, resulting in a score of 13:2 in favor of TheMongolz. However, on the second map, Mirage, AMKAL managed to redeem themselves and show a strong defense, winning the half 9:3. But TheMongolz weren't ready to give up and tried to finish the series with a score of 2:0. However, AMKAL pushed the series to the deciding map, Inferno, by winning the second map with a score of 13:8. The deciding map, Inferno, was very evenly matched. TheMongolz started on the defensive side and ended the half tied at 6:6. However, they performed slightly better as attackers today, resulting in a final score of 13:10 in favor of TheMongolz.
