The results of the first gaming day at IEM Sydney 2023
Today, on October 16th, the group stage of IEM Sydney 2023 for CS2 began, and fans eagerly anticipated thrilling matchups. On the first gaming day of the tournament, eight bo1 matches took place as part of the group quarter-finals, along with the semi-final and the first round of the lower bracket in Group A.
As a result of today's matches, teams VERTEX ESC and Vitality, unfortunately, bid farewell to the competition. However, MOUZ and BB Team showcased outstanding performances, securing their spots in the playoffs.
Among the Ukrainian teams, NAVI stood out with a more successful performance on the first gaming day. They secured a victory against Apeks and came close to advancing to the playoffs but ultimately lost to MOUZ. The team Monte played only one match and, regrettably, fell to Complexity with a score of 9:13 on the Anubis map.
